Stein Jetty June 2025

What an amazing turnout THANK YOU everyone. We cleaned the foreshore at Stein in the afternoon and then the jetty users spent the evening hauling abandoned gear out of the overgrown bushes and grass. The beach is brilliant, the jetty area needs more work but what an awesome start. We filled one skip in 4 hrs!
It was fantastic to see so many people out, not least our young volunteers who made a huge contribution. We were joined by our youngest beach cleaner yet, at only 5 months old. WOW!
Debris included 16 fish boxes of small pieces of banding wrap, fine twine, small fragments of net, gun cartridges, pieces of plastic bags, picked out of the seaweed.
